Cadent Gas workers back to repair leak on Stansted Road in Bishop’s Stortford

Workers have returned to repair a gas leak on a main road into Bishop’s Stortford, setting up temporary two-way traffic signals for up to a week.

The work by Cadent Gas on the B1383 Stansted Road, near the junction with Collins Cross, due to end next Wednesday (April 17), is to repair a gas escape in a main.

A Cadent Gas spokesperson said: “People may have seen us on Stansted Road before but in different locations along this stretch of road.

“We apologise for the inconvenience our emergency works may have caused people.”
