Polling cards are being sent to eligible voters across the Hertford and Stortford and Saffron Walden constituencies this week as the countdown to the General Election on Thursday, December 12 begins.

Candidates must be nominated by this Thursday (November 14). Currently, both seats are being contested by candidates from the Conservative, Green, Labour and Liberal Democrat parties.

To be able to vote in the election, residents must register by November 26 – which is also the deadline for postal vote applications. The deadline for those who need a proxy vote – to appoint someone to vote in their name – is December 4.
