Gogglebox returns to TV screens with Baggs family of Great Dunmow featuring former Birchwood and Herts and Essex sons




Two former Bishop's Stortford school students are among Gogglebox's new additions.

The Baggs family, who live in Great Dunmow, are one of two new families on the new series of the award-winning Channel 4 reality TV show, which features families and groups of friends reacting to television programmes from their own homes.

Dad Terry, 56, is a car salesman and married to Lisa, 50. They have two sons: Joe, 23, who works in recruitment, and George, 17, who is training to be a plumber.

George attended Birchwood High School while big brother Joe was a sixth-former at Herts and Essex High School.

Gogglebox, now in its 16th series, returned to television screens on Friday night (September 11). Families shared their thoughts on programmes such as Netflix's (Un)well, When Harry Met Sally, Countdown, Britain's Got Talent, Mary Berry's Simple Comforts, Elephant Hospital and BBC News.

Gogglebox, which was launched in March 2013, won a BAFTA award in 2014 and a National Television Award each year from 2015 to 2018.
