Hellenic Bakery to set up home in estate agent's former premises in Bishop's Stortford
A new bakery is getting ready to open in Bishop’s Stortford.
Hellenic Bakeries (Herts) Ltd is promising Greek delicacies, desserts, pastries, bread and grocery products. It will also serve coffee, sandwiches and snacks.
East Herts Council is considering a planning application for a non-illuminated shop fascia sign at the business’ new premises at unit C1 Riverside Wharf. Bishop’s Stortford Town Council will be asked to comment on the design.
The unit was previously occupied by estate agent Fordyce Furnivall, which has moved next door.
Hellenic Bakeries (Herts) Ltd was incorporated in March, as the coronavirus lockdown began, and is based in Hoddesdon. It is the brainchild of director Dr Anastasia Giannopoulou and Athanasios Papanaklis.
There are also Hellenic Bakery branches in Wood Green, London, and in Brighton.
