Thorley Cricket Club to host bank holiday family fun day in aid of Grove Cottage, home of Mencap in Bishop’s Stortford

A family fun day is being held at Thorley Cricket Club on bank holiday Monday (August 26) in aid of Bishop’s Stortford charity Grove Cottage – and an inclusive match will be taking place as part of the fun.

The event, from 2pm to 6pm at the club in Thorley Lane East, will feature a barbecue and a tombola as well as cricket for all ages and abilities.

Grove Cottage, which is the home of Mencap in Bishop’s Stortford, was thankful to the cricket club for presenting it with a cheque for £200 at its recent Wednesday night social club.
