Harlow man Daniel Tilley charged with causing motorcyclist Steve Lord's death on M11

A man has been charged with causing the death of a 63-year-old family man on the M11 near Bishop's Stortford.

Steve Lord, from Dunmow, died after his Suzuki motorbike was in collision with a car on the southbound carriageway between junctions 8 (Stortford/Stansted Airport) and 7 (Harlow) at around 5am on January 16.

Daniel Tilley, 37, of Joyners Field, Harlow was arrested at the time and has now been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision and failing to report a collision.

He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on August 5.
