Hertford and Stortford MP Josh Dean welcomes Government cash to make constituents healthier

An extra £58m from the Government to make Hertfordshire healthier has been welcomed by Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth’s MP Josh Dean.

The cash boost from Labour will help deliver prevention programmes, including smoking cessation and addiction recovery, in the county. It will also help fund family and school nurses and sexual health clinics.

Mr Dean, the Labour MP for Hertford and Stortford, said: “After nearly a decade of cuts under the Tories, I am delighted that Labour is continuing to deliver on our promise to improve health outcomes in Hertford and Stortford and across the country as part of our Plan for Change.

“This funding will help drive key health services in our community, prevent people from falling into ill health and relieve pressure on the NHS.”
