Hertfordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner to quiz chief constable about anti-social behaviour

Hertfordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner will quiz the county’s chief constable about anti-social behaviour (ASB) and rural crime.

The public can watch Jonathan Ash-Edwards hold Charlie Hall to account via a webcast on Thursday (December 12) at 10.30am. Attendees can register for the meeting at https://bit.ly/3VzzzEb.

The commissioner will ask how the force is tackling ASB through early intervention, problem-solving, partnership working and the role of neighbourhood policing teams.

Mr Ash-Edwards will also scrutinise the use of statutory powers and legal orders by Herts police, how the force is improving its understanding of rural crime and how it is monitoring response times to incidents in rural and isolated areas.

They will also discuss how Herts works with other police forces and agencies on cross-border organised rural crime.

The last item on their agenda is how officers respond to calls about people in mental health crises and the training and support they are given.
