Christmas carol service in Harlow hosted by Princess Alexandra Hospital cancelled

A community Christmas carol concert in Harlow due to be hosted by the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) this week has been cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It follows cancellation of the Bishop's Stortford Salvation Army's carol concert at the Methodist Church in South Street in Stortford on Saturday evening (Dec 11).

The Harlow service was due to take place on Wednesday (Dec 15) from 5.30pm at St Paul’s Church in College Square, Harlow.

A spokesperson for PAHT, which also runs the Herts and Essex and St Margaret's hospitals in Bishop's Stortford and Epping, said: "Unfortunately, it is necessary to cancel the Christmas carol service on Wednesday... due to our updated guidance for group gatherings in response to the Omicron variant of concern. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
