Feelings of Safety: East Herts Community Safety Partnership launches safety survey
How safe do you feel? That's what residents of Bishop's Stortford and Sawbridgeworth are being asked in a new survey called Feelings of Safety.
The survey is being conducted by the East Herts Community Safety Partnership, which consists of organisations including the district council, police, fire service, education providers and justice services.
Cllr Peter Boylan, executive member for neighbourhoods at East Herts Council, said: "The partnership undertakes a significant amount work across East Herts to keep our communities safe.
"The views of local residents are essential in targeting that work where it's needed most and we hope as many people as possible will complete the survey, whether they are new to the area or have lived and worked here a long time."
Inspector Mark Collins, who heads Hertfordshire Constabulary's East Herts Safer Neighbourhood Teams, added: "Community safety is a high priority for the CSP and affects the quality of life for both individuals and communities.
"The Feelings of Safety campaign will provide us with vital information to help the partnership develop strategies and keep our neighbourhoods safe."
The survey, launched in East Herts on Tuesday (February 1), will help identify problem areas and shape improvements.
