Bishop's Stortford MP Julie Marson hosts online jobs and apprenticeships fair

Bishop's Stortford's MP is hosting a jobs and apprenticeships fair on Friday (September 18) to bring employment and training opportunities to her constituents.

Conservative Julie Marson, who represents Hertford and Stortford at Westminster, says that more than 20 businesses and organisations – ranging from the Army and Royal Navy, Stansted Airport and Network Rail, banks and solicitors to charities and community groups – will 'exhibit' at the virtual event from 10am to 1pm.

"It's very positive that so many organisations have signed up to this one-of-a-kind jobs and apprenticeships fair," she said.

"I appreciate that this is a strange way for an event like this to be hosted, but I would like to thank all of the organisations who have signed up for showing such flexibility and commitment to the event.

"This is going to be an event for everyone. Whether you're a young person considering an apprenticeship, someone who's seeking a job opportunity, someone after a career change or even someone who wishes to set up their own business and would like support in getting started, this is the event for you.

"I have always said that I am determined to bring greater opportunity to our community and this event shows how I am working alongside local and national organisations to achieve this.

"I'd encourage all residents to have a look at the Google Sheet beforehand to plan who they would like to talk to on the day. I cannot wait for it to get under way!"

Julie has published a Google Sheet with Zoom links. Constituents who have any issues with logging in are encouraged to call Julie's office directly on the day on 0207 219 2520.
