Keep fit and have fun in Castle Park
The first ever wellbeing and fitness day takes place in Bishop's Stortford's Castle Park today (Sunday, August 19).
The event runs from 10am to 4pm. Local fitness instructors, wellbeing practitioners and sports clubs will be running taster sessions throughout the day.
The programme features a wide range of activities, from t’ai chi, yoga amd meditation to taekwondo, a boot camp and belly dancing. Tennis, canoe and volleyball sessions will also be on offer.
All ages are welcome and children should be accompanied by an adult.
Emily Clowry, Castle Park’s community engagement officer, said: “It will be essential to bring a water bottle and towel and to wear suitable clothing for exercise as there are lots of different activities to try out. Please bring an exercise mat if you have one.
“We will have a limited number of mats available on the day to borrow. There are a maximum of 30 spaces on each session in the arenas, and these spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis.”
