Keith Bassett Memorial Family Fun Golf Day at Ash Valley Golf Club, Much Hadham, in aid of Isabel Hospice

The annual Keith Bassett Memorial Family Fun Golf Day raised £415 for Isabel Hospice.

Keith was supported by the hospice before his death in 2011 after a two-year battle with prostate and secondary bone cancer. He was 52.

His family – wife Angela, daughter Joanne and son Michael – organised the light-hearted event at Ash Valley Golf Club, Much Hadham, where a golfer tees off and the non-golfer putts.

Keith worked and played at the course and son Michael is now head greenkeeper.

Renee Friend, the Bishop's Stortford fundraising co-ordinator for the hospice, said: "Thanks to their generous support and great raffle prizes, the wonderful sum of £415 was raised for our Isabel nurses who cared for Keith and supported his family.

"We do so rely on the support of our local communities to enable us to continue to provide vital care and support locally and throughout East Herts, and are extremely grateful to the Bassett family for their continuing support."
