Sawbridgeworth Community Library celebrates its first summer reading challenge with presentation day

Over 100 children completed the "Space Chase" summer reading challenge set by Sawbridgeworth Library, its first since becoming community run.

180 children signed up for the national initiative in Sawbridgeworth, each receiving a special passport celebrating 50 years since they moon landing.

They were required to read six books, telling the librarian about each one in exchange for stickers. On completion, each child got a certificate, medal and space glasses. 34 children turned up for a special presentation day.
