Leventhorpe PE students on a roll as they try The Cube

Leventhorpe School’s PE teachers found a novel way to keep students fit and entertained in lockdown.

Children took part in a series of challenges inspired by TV game show The Million Pound Cube, which is hosted by Phillip Schofield.

On top of their virtual core PE lessons, teachers at the Cambridge Road secondary in Sawbridgeworth set five challenges based on the ITV programme.

They added a competitive element for students, parents and staff as entrants were challenged to earn house points.

Competitors watched demonstration videos on the Leventhorpe PE YouTube channel, then filmed themselves having a go at the challenges.

Laura Trevillian, the school’s communications and social media co-ordinator, said: “The response from the Leventhorpe community was absolutely brilliant and it was fantastic to see so many videos of students, parents and staff completing the challenges.”
