Leventhorpe A-level results: 'Outstanding outcomes' for students at Sawbridgeworth secondary




Leventhorpe School students were praised for achieving "outstanding outcomes" in their A-level exams in a year of "unprecedented changes to their education and assessment".

Top-performing students at the Cambridge Road, Sawbridgeworth, school were Stephanie Braid, Matthew Parker and Rosabel Spinks, with 4 A*s. Elyse Camp and Josh Williams were among those who secured a clean sweep of A*s in all their subjects.

The school reported that 13 students achieved double distinction* in their BTEC programmes, with Matthew Ayers, George Durkan, Nathan Rogers and Heath Squire being notable for securing A*-B grades in their other courses as well.

Headteacher Malcolm White said: "We're delighted to see so many students securing their first-choice destination for university.

"It's also fantastic to see increasing numbers of students opting for high-quality degree apprenticeship programmes with well-known firms.

"We wish our cohort of 2021 the very best as they leave us. They've been a fantastic group of students who have demonstrated incredible resilience and adaptability through the past two years."
