Mione Goldspink (Lib Dem) is a retired GP who has lived in Stortford for many years.

She has been mayor and a town councillor, and has served for many years as a district councillor, so has a wealth of experience and knowledge about the town.

Mione deplores the Tories' failure to consult properly and to take notice of people's views.

She is dismayed by the Conservatives' intransigence over the development of the Old River Lane site. She says the plans for a new cinema and 225 homes in seven-storey blocks are seriously flawed and go against some of the council's own policies.
