The £550 Louis Vuitton purse was stolen from a woman's handbag in New Look at around 12.45pm on Thursday, March 21.

The 34-year-old victim briefly left her bag unattended in the changing rooms at the clothes shop at the Potter Street entrance to Jackson Square.

When she returned a few moments later, her purse – which contained her bank cards, driving licence and National Insurance number – had been taken.

Stortford police want to trace the woman in the CCTV images as officers believe she has information which could assist their investigation.

Anyone who recognises her can contact PCSO Tea Prow by emailing tea.prow@herts.pnn.police.uk or calling non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 41/26488/19. You can also report information online.

Alternatively, to provide details anonymously, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or via its untraceable online form.
