Friends and family were also there to greet the contestants with balloons and banners, although former England and Liverpool footballer Michael Owen was not in the arrivals hall to meet daughter Gemma.

Airport duty manager Natalie Putt said: “It was a hive of activity around the international arrivals area as fans and family members tried to catch a glimpse of the stars when they arrived at London Stansted on their Jet2.com flight.

“An ITV camera crew were there to film the contestants' arrival, while members of Jet2's operational staff and the airport's customer service team were also on hand to ensure the cast had a smooth journey through the airport.”
