Man arrested in Bishop’s Stortford town centre pleads guilty in court the next day to shoplifting from Sainsbury’s and B&M
A man arrested in Bishop’s Stortford town centre pleaded guilty to shoplifting offences when he appeared in court the next day.
Daniel Jordan, 52, was detained by PCSO Mark Rippon, a member of the town centre neighbourhood policing team, outside the B&M store in South Street on Tuesday (Sept 23) on suspicion of theft.
He was arrested by a colleague. Following further enquiries, he was arrested on suspicion of two other shoplifting offences in the town.
Jordan, of no fixed abode but from Harlow, appeared at Hatfield Remand Court on Wednesday (Sept 24) and pleaded guilty to two thefts from Sainsbury’s in Jackson Square, on September 6 and 8, and one from B&M on Sunday (Sept 21).
He is due to appear at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on Monday October 27 for sentencing.
