Man in his 30s killed in motorcycle accident in High Wych in the early hours

A man in his 30s was killed after his motorcycle was involved in an accident in High Wych in the early hours of Friday (December 17).

Police were called to High Wych Road at 4.15am to reports of a serious accident involving a motorcyclist.

An ambulance and rapid response vehicle from East of England Ambulance Service attended, but the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The road was closed from its junctions with the A1184 Harlow Road and with High Wych Lane, the turning to the Manor of Groves Hotel and Golf Club.

Police officers remained at the scene until the road was reopened just before midday.
