Rory Brytz jailed for stealing alcohol from Bishop’s Stortford supermarkets eight times in three weeks
A man was jailed for 10 weeks for stealing alcohol from supermarkets in Bishop’s Stortford on EIGHT occasions in November.
Rory Brytz, 33, of Atherton Close, St James’ Park in Stortford, was arrested last Wednesday (December 3) and appeared in court the next day having been charged with eight counts of theft from a shop, including five from Waitrose in the space of a week (November 12-19).
The other offences were at Tesco at Bishop’s Park on November 2, Sainsbury’s in Jackson Square on November 21 and Tesco Express in South Street on November 24.
Brytz was also charged with possession of cannabis.
He was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker but a Herts police spokeswoman said: “No further action will be taken in relation to the assault.”
Police also seized a bicycle as part of their investigation.
