Take part in Virtual Christmas Quiz Night for St Clare Hospice from the comfort of your own sofa
Are you a Noel-it-all when it comes to Christmas? You can start the yuletide season early this year by enjoying all the fun of a festive quiz from the comfort of your own home while raising money for St Clare Hospice.
Because of the Covid-19 crisis, St Clare’s community fundraising team have had to diversify 2020’s festive fundraisers – so this month they will be holding the charity’s annual Christmas quiz online.
The Virtual Christmas Quiz Night will take place on Friday November 20, from 7pm to 8.30pm, via video conferencing service Zoom.
Players can take part in the festive-themed trivia while snuggled up on their sofas. They can join together in household teams and log on to compete with up to 100 other contestants online.
Entry costs £3 per person and all the money will fund the hospice’s clinical teams this Christmas.
Quizmaster and St Clare community fundraiser Dan Bailey said: “This festive season, more than ever, we all need some light relief and entertainment, and what better way to spend another night in on the sofa than by supporting your local front-line hospice charity?
“Our clinical teams need the support of our local community more than ever, and by joining the Virtual Christmas Quiz Night you can have fun and raise funds.
“Just like many other local charities, we're really feeling the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on our usual fundraising income, which relies on events and activities taking place, many of which have had to be postponed or gone online this year.”
Players are encouraged to don festive fancy dress or their jazziest jumpers. Raffle tickets will be on sale and can be bought when signing up for quiz tickets. To find out more, visit stclarehospice.org.uk/st-clare-christmas-quiz.
