Headteacher Dustin Schuyler said: “Our students have been resilient and diligent all year long. The progress they have made and the grades they have achieved are a result of that determination and effort.

“One of the things that Forest Hall School is known for is its unique size and how well we get to know our students. We knew how well they could do academically and that is evident in the results they have got today, with more students achieving grade 9, 8 and 7 than ever before and students doing well across the board, particularly in English, maths and science.

“Not only have students performed well academically, but they have developed into outstanding young adults. They have high ambitions and plans for their futures. They now have the grades to start fulfilling those dreams. Well done and congratulations – all of us at Forest Hall School are incredibly proud of all of you.”

Kayleigh Trainor, assistant head, said: “Year 11 students approached their exams with incredible tenacity. They followed the advice of their teachers and made sure they made the most of the support available in school, from no study leave, masterclasses after school and Saturday school sessions throughout the academic year.

“Their efforts have translated into exceptional achievements across the board. Each and every student will have their own successes and should be very proud of what they have achieved. They have shown they can compete for the sixth form places, ambitious apprenticeships and college courses and that hard work provides the stepping stones to many post-16 opportunities. We are incredibly proud of their achievements.”
