Motorists face spring and summer of discontent as road work closures and temporary signals herald more traffic turmoil in Stansted

Stansted is facing a spring and summer of traffic disruption from road works.

Motorists travelling to and from Elsenham will once again face lengthy diversions with the B1051 Stansted Road set to close from the top of Grove Hill for almost 10 weeks, from Monday April 21 to Saturday June 28, to enable Affinity Water to carry out work.

It follows a five-week closure of Grove Hill throughout February and March by gas firm Cadent. It is due to reopen on Friday (March 14).
