Motorists are advised to expect delays when part of one of the approaches to the Hockerill crossroads in Bishop's Stortford will be closed over the weekend.

Hertfordshire County Council Highways has reported that the A1060 London Road will be closed between its junctions with Harrington Close – opposite the Crown Terrace car park – and with the A1250 (Hockerill Street and Dunmow Road) "for installation works" from 8am on Saturday (Nov 6) until 6pm on Sunday (Nov 7).

County highways also advised that the planned installation of temporary traffic signals at the A1250 Link Road junction with Northgate End has been delayed until Monday (Nov 8).

The first phase of the works is due to end on December 5, with a second phase starting on January 3 next year and ending on April 3.
