Bishop's Stortford's MP calls for clampdown on speeding

Bishop's Stortford's MP has called for a clampdown on speeding in the town.

The Conservative has asked Hertfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner David Lloyd to deploy road safety camera vans to three particularly hazardous routes in her constituency.

He has vehicles available for deployment across the county where communities raise concerns about motorists.

After residents wrote to Mrs Marson to voice their concerns, she asked Mr Lloyd to tackle speeding on London Road and Hallingbury Road.

She also lobbied him to address issues on London Road in Hertford Heath.

Mrs Marson said: "David Lloyd has always been receptive to the concerns of Hertford and Stortford residents when I have raised these with him.

"I have made my request for the deployment of the road safety camera vans on these three roads to clamp down on dangerous or anti-social driving and speeding and know that the commissioner will consider this request carefully.

"Should any resident wish to raise a dangerous driving issue with me, they can do so directly by emailing julie.marson.mp@parliament.uk."
