Bishop's Stortford's MP issues art challenge to honour coronavirus heroes

Coronavirus champions are the inspiration for a new art competition organised by Bishop's Stortford's MP Julie Marson.

The Conservative said: "The work of our key workers and frontline staff throughout the pandemic has been nothing short of heroic. I have tried to pay tribute to these heroes wherever and I can and so I am launching my art competition to give Hertford and Stortford residents an opportunity to say thank you too.

"I'd encourage all Hertford and Stortford residents to enter the competition. The only rules are that the artwork must be something positive; it must be something that recognises the work of our coronavirus heroes, such as nurses and doctors, and it needs to be an original piece of work.

"This art competition is a fun way to say thank you to those who have gone the extra mile to keep us safe during the pandemic."

To enter, residents are asked to email their creations to Julie, with 'Art Competition' in the subject line. They must also provide their full name, age and postal address.

Submissions must be made by the deadline of 6pm on Friday, August 28, and Julie will publish her favourite pieces on Friday, September 4. Entrants agree to their work and names being used on the MP's social media channels.
