Muddy Mayhem: Mud, sweat and cheers at Isabel Hospice’s outdoor obstacle course for all the family
There'll be mud, sweat and cheers when Isabel Hospice’s outdoor obstacle course, Muddy Mayhem, returns later this month.
Participants are preparing to slip, slide and scramble around a 5k (3.1-mile) course at the beautiful and private Woodhall Estate in Watton-at-Stone on Sunday March 26.
The event, which takes place in conjunction with Letchworth-based Garden House Hospice Care, runs from 10am to 2pm.
Isabel Hospice's head of fundraising Katy O’Sullivan said: “Promising more hills, more spills and more thrills than ever before, participants will clamber, climb and crawl over new obstacles and through gallons of marvellous mud in aid of our two hospices.
“This event is back by popular demand and we're expecting tickets to sell fast, so if you'd like to join us for this family-friendly event then we would urge you to book early to avoid disappointment.”
As well as the 5km adult course, there will be a 1km Mini Mudder route for children under-11.
Advance registration before March 25 is £35 for adults and £25 for 11- to 16-year-olds, or £40 and £30 respectively on the day.
Youngsters aged 11-16 on the Muddy Mayhem course must be accompanied by a paying adult. Registration for the Mini Mudder is £5 in advance or on the day.
Entry includes a commemorative medal and refreshment at the finish line. On the day, there will be an event village with a variety of stalls and caterers for participants and spectators.
Participants are encouraged to get sponsorship as every pound raised helps to make a difference to patient care at Isabel Hospice.
