Stansted’s Lower Street Brasserie to celebrate opening of new bar

There’s a new bar in Stansted as Lower Street Brasserie launches its latest endeavour.

Husband and wife Simon and Kerri Wells have opened a bar at their venue and will be holding an official launch party on Sunday May 25 from 4pm, with live music from 6.30pm.

Described as an “exclusive, sophisticated space that blends timeless elegance with modern luxury”, the bar will serve “handcrafted cocktails, curated music and tailored experiences”.

The restaurant, set within a listed 17th-century building, was taken over by the couple in 2019 and has enjoyed much success, with its outside terrace a particular favourite of customers.

The latest venture adds to Lower Street’s already varied street scene, which features pubs, cocktail bars, restaurants, cafés and coffee shops.
