Hertfordshire County Council has appointed a new director of children’s services.

Cllr Richard Roberts, leader of the council, said: “Jo brings a wealth of experience to the role and will continue our clear commitment to supporting children, young people and families across Hertfordshire to ensure they have the very best start in life.

"Children’s social care services play a key role in protecting the most vulnerable in our communities, and I have no doubt that Jo’s leadership will help us take important steps forward in this crucial work.”
