New venue for sixth Check-in @ Stansted regional business expo
The sixth annual Check-in @ Stansted regional business expo will change venue this year.
On Thursday, June 20, the networking event will take place at the airport’s Novotel rather than its Diamond Hangar.
Organised by Stansted Airport Chamber of Commerce which was founded in 2006, it is a chance for business owners to showcase their services.
Julie Budden, chair of the chamber, said: ”We are delighted to bring back Check-in @ Stansted in 2019. For us, it’s extremely important that our exhibitors, sponsors and attendees benefit from such an event and seek every single opportunity to ‘do real business’.
“This year we have decided to change the venue location and will be taking the expo to the Novotel London Stansted which has been an exhibitor with us from day one (including previous owner The Hilton Hotel Group). This year we wanted to give someone else the opportunity to hold the event within their venue and why not with a company who have also exhibited.”
She continued: “Not only have we changed the venue, but we have also looked at the packages on offer and we’re pleased to be able to offer more for exhibitors and sponsors which include unlimited tea and coffee throughout the day, lunch for staff and more.”
Novotel general manager Paul Muscroft said: “The team are delighted to be hosting the Check-in @ Stansted exhibition. Having exhibited in previous years and now in its sixth year, the exhibition is the only event of its kind for the business community. Having recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment, the Novotel London Stansted Airport hotel is the ideal venue for exhibitors and visitors alike. We look forward to welcoming you all in June."
David Lewy, head of public affairs and partnerships at Stansted Airport, which is sponsoring the event with Uttlesford District Council, said: “We’re delighted to support the Stansted Airport Chamber of Commerce’s Check-In @Stansted for a sixth year – it is a vital opportunity for local businesses to exhibit their products and services. London Stansted has real momentum behind us, and given the strong economic performance of our region, our available runway capacity and investment in new facilities, the future for passengers and businesses is very bright. 2019 is going to be a really exciting year for Stansted Airport and the region, and we want to ensure that local businesses are benefitting from the opportunities our success presents.”
