New Scouts join Bishop’s Stortford’s revived Equestris Troop

A newly reopened Bishop’s Stortford Scout troop is appealing for adult volunteers.

The Equestris Troop, part of the 10th Bishop’s Stortford (St Joseph’s) Scout Group, meets at Bishop’s Stortford College on Monday evenings.

Deputy District Commissioner Maureen Hargrave said: “The troop has reopened, fulfilling the aims of the leadership team, who have worked hard to make this happen.

“Cubs remained active throughout this challenging period and six of these, along with two others from outside the group, were invested as Scouts.

“The leadership team is delighted that this day has come and are now looking forward to growing the troop as more Cubs reach Scout age and by welcoming new members to Scouting.

“A couple of additional adults would be an asset to the team so that more young people can have these opportunities. If this sounds like something you would be interested in being part of, then please take the first step by contacting ddc@bishopsstortfordscouts.org.uk.”
