It was the first time Stansted has handled the aircraft, which measures nearly 74m (242ft) from nose to tail.

The new fuel-efficient, long-range aircraft from Airbus was an impressive sight for passengers at the airport.

The team is set to fly home to the Big Apple on Sunday night after the game.
