Diversions ahead as A120 improvements cause weekend and night-time closures

A raft of closures of the A120 will cause disruptions for Bishop’s Stortford motorists.
As part of the ongoing Standon improvements scheme under way, highways authority Herts County Council needs to close the road at several locations.
Ringway will be carrying out work, including significant resurfacing incorporated under the ‘one and done’ principle, and to allow utility companies to divert some of their equipment.
During the closures, traffic wanting to travel between the A10 and Bishop's Stortford will need to follow the diversion route shown on the map.
Ringway may need to change dates as plans evolve, particularly if utility companies change their plans.
Herts County Council is asking residents to double-check www.roadworks.org to find out whether the closures are going ahead as planned. Stansted Airport, Essex County Council and Highways England are being informed.
