Three Iraqi men are being dealt with by Immigration Enforcement after an incident in Sawbridgeworth at the weekend.

The Home Office division was contacted by Hertfordshire Constabulary shortly before 1am on Saturday (Feb 13) after a member of the public reported noise coming from the back of a lorry.

A Home Office spokesman said: "Three males were encountered who presented themselves as Iraqi nationals. Their cases will be dealt with according to the immigration rules."

Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing immigration law in the UK. It was established from the section of the former UK Border Agency responsible for enforcing immigration law.
