Three Men in a Boat sails into Harlow's Gibberd Garden
The Gibberd Garden is to host two open-air performances of a stage adaptation of Jerome K. Jerome's book Three Men in a Boat.
Kick in the Head Productions will be bringing their show to the Harlow beauty spot on Saturday August 29 for a matinee at 2pm and an evening performance at 6pm. Gates open at 1pm and 5pm respectively and a picnic area is available.
Tickets cost £15 for adults and £8 for under-16s. Numbers for each performance are restricted to ensure social distancing, so early booking in advance is essential.
A spokeswoman for the gardens in Marsh Lane said: "Please book the tickets for everyone in the party you will be sitting with. Two-metre spacing will be marked out accordingly in the 'auditorium'. Bring your own chairs or rugs – your allocated space will be restricted."
Three Men in a Boat is a humorous account by Jerome of a two-week boating holiday on the River Thames from Kingston upon Thames to Oxford and back.
