Revised plans for pizza and chicken & chips takeaway at Snowley Parade on Bishop’s Stortford’s Parsonage estate

Revised plans for a takeaway at Snowley Parade on Bishop’s Stortford’s Parsonage estate have been submitted to East Herts Council.

The new plans for the former Saffron Launderers & Dry Cleaners propose opening hours of 11am to 9pm seven days a week. A previous application to serve from 10am to midnight, Sundays to Fridays, and an hour later on Saturdays was refused.

EHC told applicant Sulaxsana Rames: “The proposed hours of operation are not considered to be acceptable due to the location of the site within a quiet residential neighbourhood.”

The planning authority also asked for more details of noise attenuation and odour control, while Bishop’s Stortford Town Council was concerned about limited parking and disruption by delivery vehicles.

The new plans ask for “change the use of the premises to a hot food takeaway restaurant selling pizzas and chicken and chips”.
