The car, a white Vauxhall Zafira, hit a stationary vehicle and rolled onto its roof.

Emergency services were called at 1.55pm on Friday (May 18) to reports of the crash near Stane Close.

Paramedics and Bishop’s Stortford police are at the scene.

A spokesman from the East of England Ambulance Service said: “One ambulance and one rapid response vehicle attended the scene to treat one patient, who was discharged at the scene with no serious injuries.”

Staff from the Everyone Active gym at Grange Paddocks Leisure Centre went to offer their assistance to emergency personnel but were not required.

An eyewitness reported that buses travelling out of town along Rye Street were forced to turn around and drivers had to reverse into residents’ front gardens to complete the manoeuvre.
