Bishop's Park Tesco shoplifters steal L.O.L. Surprise balls and Paw Patrol sharks
Two female shoplifters stole children's toys worth £160 from Tesco in Bishop's Park.
Police said the women, both white, were seen collecting gift bags from a display stand at around 12.15pm last Wednesday (Nov 17).
"They then headed towards the toy section, where they filled the bags with L.O.L [Surprise] toys in the shape of a ball," said Bishop's Stortford police inspector Mark Collins. "They took 12 balls and two Paw Patrol toy sharks, one of which was recovered at the scene."
The women drove off in a white Peugeot 208. Police are reviewing CCTV footage.
In an incident at Tesco Express in South Street on Monday (Nov 22), a member of staff was shoved out of the way by a suspected shoplifter.
Insp Collins said: "A male was attempting to steal protein bars from the store and staff confronted him. The suspect handed over the bars, but when staff asked him to open his bag he became verbally aggressive and said 'I'll do you!', pushing the victim on the shoulder to get out the door."
The suspect is described as white, mid-30s, 5ft 8in, slim, with short and curly ginger hair and a ginger beard. He was wearing a black jacket with the hood up.
A customer at Sainsbury's in Jackson Square was stopped by security staff as he tried to walk out of the store with £55 worth of sushi at around 2pm last Tuesday (Nov 16). He was made to pay for the goods and issued with a banning order from the store.
