The team will be conducting house-to-house enquiries in the neighbourhood and are equipped with thermal imaging cameras to help spot four-year-old Max.

The cat has a Bluetooth tag which will activate on any smartphone which has the app.

Lead investigator Andrew McNair said: “Very often cats are found no more than a mile away, but obviously there are many places a cat can become trapped in injured. What’s important is that we try to raise as much awareness as possible to hopefully reunite Max with their worried owners.”
