Sawbridgeworth breathed a sigh of relief on Wednesday (Sept 11) as the town's only supermarket reopened after a £300,000 refurbishment.
Curious shoppers hurried back to check out Budgens' new-look store, which includes eco-friendly closing fridges and a new kiosk along the back wall as well as Costa Express and F'real milkshake machines.
Owners Michelle and Paul Gravelle have extended product lines to offer more top-quality convenience goods, chilled drinks and more options from the vegetarian, vegan and free-from ranges.
