Road closures were put in place along London Road and Thorley Street on the outskirts of Bishop's Stortford on Wednesday morning (July 24) following a crash involving two vehicles.

Emergency services were called to the Thorley Street collision shortly after 10am and a spokeswoman for Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed: "Officers are currently on scene, alongside the ambulance service."

East of England Ambulance Service crews at the scene were stood down, however.

At 11.12am Bishop's Stortford police tweeted that the road had been reopened.
