Police appeal after motorcyclist in his 40s killed in collision with lorry outside Harlow Truck Centre

A man in his 40s was killed when he was involved in a collision with a lorry in Harlow on Monday evening (April 20).

The incident happened in River Way, outside Harlow Truck Centre, shortly after 8pm.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the biker, a local man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at 8.25pm.

"The driver of the lorry has been spoken to by officers and is assisting with our enquiries."

River Way is expected to remain closed into the early hours of Tuesday.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has relevant dashcam footage and has not yet spoken to officers is asked to call Essex Police's serious collision investigation unit on 101, quoting incident number 956 of April 20.
