M11 fatal crash: Police appeal after woman dies following four-vehicle collision

Police are appealing for information after an elderly woman died six days after she was injured in a collision on the M11.

Just before 5.20pm on Sunday 25 July, four vehicles were involved in a crash on the southbound carriageway of the motorway, just after the Chigwell slip road.

A blue BMW XDrive Sport, a navy blue Mercedes C350 Sport, a black Toyota Auris and a white recovery truck were involved.

One of the passengers in the BMW, a woman in her 90s, was taken to hospital, where she died on Saturday 31 July.

An Essex Police spokesperon said: "We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, to contact us."
