Police find missing Bishop's Stortford pensioner Ann Husband

A 77-year-old woman who was missing from her Bishop’s Stortford home for almost a week has been found safe and well in Harlow.

Ann Husband has lived in the Hockerill area of town for many years and previously shared her home with her younger sister, Margaret, who died last year. They used to run a sweet shop in Bridge Street.

A former neighbour of the sisters told the Bishop's Stortford Independent that police contacted him on Tuesday night (Dec 11) and told him Ann had been missing since Thursday December 6.

Concerns for Ann's safety and well-being were raised on the Bishop’s Stortford Civic Federation Facebook page. People who would often see her or speak to her as she walked into the town centre from the Dunmow Road area had noticed her absence and were worried about her.

This morning (Wed 12), a spokeswoman for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "I have just had confirmation from the locate team that Ann Husband has just been found."
