By Paul Winspear

Police investigating a collision between a car and a cyclist at the entrance to Hatfield Forest on Good Friday are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.

It was reported that a red car, believed to be a Vauxhall Corsa, collided with a cyclist at the entrance in Bush End Road, Takeley, at around 3.30pm.

The driver of the red car, which did not stop following the collision, was reportedly travelling with a white car.

The cyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage of the collision is asked to contact PC Elizabeth Ferris at Essex Police's roads policing unit on 101, quoting incident 746 of April 19.
