Thugs flee towards Stansted after robbing two teenagers in Dunmow on carnival night

Police are hunting robbers who threatened two teenagers before stealing their mobile phones and wallets on carnival night in Great Dunmow.

The incident in Beaumont Hill happened on Saturday, September 21, between 10pm and 11pm, following the town's carnival.

According to Essex Police: "The teenagers were threatened with violence by one of the group if they did not hand over their wallets and phones.

"The men then left in a waiting car, described as a small, dark vehicle, which may have been a Ford Focus. It drove in the direction of Stansted.

"One of the group has been described as being a teenager, between the ages of 16 and 18. He was around 5ft 10in tall and wore a dark-coloured tracksuit."
