Police appeal for witnesses and information after yobs on motocross bike ride along pavement in Bishop’s Stortford and narrowly miss pedestrians
Police are trying to track down two anti-social riders who rode a motocross bike along a pavement in Bishop’s Stortford, narrowly missing pedestrians.
The males, wearing dark clothing and no helmets, were spotted on a green Kawasaki bike in Parsonage Lane on Friday (Nov 29) at around 1.10pm, before riding off into Birchanger Wood, near Birchwood High School.
Police have also received reports about a rider on a blue Yamaha doing wheelies and speeding in the area. He was wearing blue clothing, a balaclava and goggles.
PCSO Lucy Townsend, from the neighbourhood policing team, said: “This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable, and we’d like to trace these riders urgently before they seriously hurt someone.
“If you saw either of these incidents or captured footage of the bikes being ridden in the area, perhaps on a dashcam or doorbell cam, then please get in touch.
“We’d also be keen to hear from anyone who may have information about who is riding these bikes.
“While we’re conducting as many enquiries as we can, information from the public often proves key to helping us identify offenders.”
