Police prioritise tackling anti-social behaviour in Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth parks
Hertfordshire Constabulary has set its policing priorities for Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth over the next four months.
Residents will see the dedicated neighbourhood team of PCs (police constables) and PCSOs (police community support officers) working alongside partners to tackle problems through increased police presence, engagement events and targeted enforcement.
Following data analysis, officers aim to reduce youth-related anti-social behaviour in Castle Park – Castle Gardens and Sworder’s Field – in Bishop’s Stortford and Bullfields and West Road parks in Sawbridgeworth. Officers will target the areas between 3pm and 10pm.
The neighbourhood officers will also tackle routine business, force-wide priorities and emerging issues which require immediate action.
The area is also policed by intervention officers, who respond to emergency calls, the local crime unit, which investigates more serious crimes such as robbery, burglary and assault, and specialist units.
